The Harper government is considering a proposal to buy at least three high-altitude unmanned aerial vehicles in what could be an attempt to salvage its Arctic sovereignty ambitions.

Not only is it a good idea for military/sovereignty needs, but it would probably help with Coast Guard type activities in the area.

It's about time - I've been saying this for years.
Ideally I'd prefer if we developed and built them ourselves, but this is an excellent idea too.
