Prime Minister Stephen Harper and Public Safety Minister Vic Toews say security concerns raised about a Chinese firm operating in Canada were taken care of, but opposition MPs want proof and more transparency.

I have to disagree. I don't think it's prudent to trust the Chinese with this sort of contract. No one else does. This sounds like penny wise pound foolish thinking. Find some other company, not based in China.

Holy fuck does this ever have "terrible idea" written all over it.

No, actually a terrible idea would be broccoli flavoured condoms or buying used submarines from Britian. This is just plain stupid. I mean pissing on an electric fence kind'a stupid.
