The older 2 are going to die in jail. I'd be concerned about the mental state of Hamed if he is released after 25 years.

I'm so glad they found the woman and son equally guilty. Let's get the appeals done with and let them rot. When they are freed, deport them.

What a waste. Seven lives ruined, all over a silly old storybook.

A book doesn't make people kill.

I might not agree with you on some things Andy, but for this.....Amen brother, Amen.

Overall, a good day for justice.

Nope. Culture does. It's a strange story. The guy doesn't seem like a devout Muslim - no beard for instance. He didn't make the women wear bags. Yet he goes to this extreme because the girls wanted to live like ordinary Canadians. I actually wonder if the 2nd wife played a greater role here - pushing him into it because she wanted to get rid of wife no 1. There seems to be a family split between husband, wife no 2, and son, and the other kids who also supported dad and mom in court, and the people killed. This may have been about more than an honor killing.

Yeah, you're right. But the book, and the teachings that go with it play a significant role in this and other so-called honour killings, wouldn't you agree?

So back in the old country is there honour killings for disgracing the family for committing a crime and going to jail? Probably just the mom gets a stoning.

Welcome to North American and leave that barbaric honour killing back in that dump of a nation you came from.

I'm glad they are convicted and will rot in jail and in hell.

Ahh yes an appeal. Can't wait to hear mom's 5th version of the story.

Make jail even worse for them, send them letters telling them how hot their daughters were on a weekly basis. It will drive them mad and absolutely bonkers.

I agree, once they are out send them back to the old country.
