A decision by Lowes Home Improvement to pull ads from a reality show about American Muslims has sparked criticism and calls for a boycott against the chain.
I think letting the boogy man out of the closet and showing the west that Muslims and real people with real jobs and the same hopes and fears as the rest of us is a great idea. We are all part of the same community, no matter which god we pray for.
I think the Muslim percentage of dangerous fanatics in the USA is way lower than the Christian percentage of dangerous fanatics.
Calling the Lowes decision un-American and naked religious bigotry, Sen. Ted Lieu, D-Torrance, told The Associated Press on Sunday that he would also consider legislative action if Lowes doesnt apologize to Muslims and reinstate its ads.
"Guy_Fawkes" said I would pull the add too, not necessarily because they are Muslims, but because its yet another TLC show that parades around a minority.
Outside of the few kooks most Muslims just want to do their own thing in peace just like anyone else.
Yet the overwhelming majority of Egyptians, Libyans, Tunisians, Morrocans, and Palestinians, when given a democratic choice they consistently select fundamentalist governments that are openly and proudly hostile to non-Muslims.

Abuse power much?
I think the Muslim percentage of dangerous fanatics in the USA is way lower than the Christian percentage of dangerous fanatics.
And when was the last time Christian fanatics flew passenger jets into skyscrapers and shot up army bases shouting, "Jesus loves you!" Hm?

If this was a show about Muslim fanatics you'd have a point.
It's not, so you don't.
I'm also waiting for people to slam TLC for airing a show promoting religion.

Exactly.
