U.S. Defence bill repeals military law on sex with animals

Recently passed Senate legislation would make sodomy and sex with animals legal under military law, ending long-standing prohibitions and triggering cries of perversion from conservative groups.

Naw,'cause I still wouldn't be into raping my fellow soldiers:
According to NPR, In 2003, a survey of female veterans found that 30 percent said they were raped in the military. A 2004 study of veterans who were seeking help for post-traumatic stress disorder found that 71 percent of the women said they were sexually assaulted or raped while serving. And a 1995 study of female veterans of the Gulf and earlier wars, found that 90 percent had been sexually harassed.

An online discussion from a former soldier whose identity is being protected had this to say, At least a rape ends. Its the day-to-day degradation that eats at you. None of my friends who were raped on active duty reported it. Or if we tried, we were told to shut up for morale. Working with your rapist on a daily basis isnt a lot of fun, believe me.

According to military reporter Adam Weinstein, a US servicewoman is twice as likely to be the victim of rape as her civilian counterpart. In fact, a US female soldier in Iraq is more likely to be raped by a fellow soldier than killed by an enemy. Worse still, the Pentagon estimates that as many as 90% of sexual assault cases in the military go unreported.

Maybe if they let them fuck sheep it will take the pressure off the female soldiers.

Of course maybe it's not the men's fault:
Two studies of Army and Marine recruits, one conducted in 1996 by psychologists L.N. Rosen and L. Martin, and the other in 2005 by Jessica Wolfe and her colleagues of the Boston Veterans Affairs Health Center, both of which were published in the journal Military Medicine, found that half the male enlistees had been physically abused in childhood, one-sixth had been sexually abused, and 11 percent had experienced both. This is significant because, as psychologists have long known, childhood abuse often turns men into abusers.

My take is that the open door policy for queers decimated the ranks of NCOs and we're also losing recruitment figures among (Catholic) Hispanics and (Baptist) blacks because, predictably, the church-going families of young men don't want them in the company of queers.

This act to make it legal to hump will serve to fuel more resistance to recruitment in the very segments of society that the military depends upon anymore.

The core of the volunteer military (NCO staff) is principally composed of patriotic, white, Southern and mid-Western Christians followed by Catholic, family-oriented Hispanics, and then blacks who tend to run very traditional in their faiths.

Now they're going to stay away from the military.

Were it not for the recession I think numbers would be down seriously right now, but where this will hurt is in five years (maybe less) as the ranks of career military NCO staff erodes. We're also going to see effects on readiness and combat effectiveness as the balance in the military changes from people who fight for 'God and Country' to people who join the military because it's a paycheck, it comes with benefits, and you can get some college money out of it.

People in that latter group are a mother****er to motivate in combat unless you get them to buy into unit cohesion and that's hard to do because these people question all such organizations all the time.

Yes, I know this is what the world is coming to but the fact of the matter remains that open-minded, tolerant, question-authority types make sh*tty soliders when orders are given to kill people. They make great corpsmen, mind you, but crappy killers.

In sum, when I was recently offered a full bird if I'd go back for eight more years I emphatically said . And I am not at all unique.

Guess that means the US will be full of unmotivated fucks the way the Canadian forces are now.

But that wasn't actually my question. Do you think it's true that 30% of women serving in the US military are raped?

Just like the repeal of Don't Ask Don't Tell led to massive gay orgies throughout the American armed forces, this development will mean no animal is safe from the insatiable lust of the American military.

No, I don't. Hate to say, but while I do expect military figures to be higher than civilian figures, in general, 30% is just nuts. If that were the case then of the 100 or so women I was in charge of at one point I'd have had 30 rape cases or 30 counseling cases to deal with?

    I never even had .

We had a lot of domestic problems to deal with, but sexual assault was not the crime wave that these folks are trying to say it is.

And if it were the case then how would making the military open the door to sexual deviants improve this situation?

DADT was repealed but the military regs are still on the books for now until new regs are drawn up and approved. Anyone hosting a gay orgy on base right now would be cashiered so wait on your comment until such behavior is legal and then we'll see what happens.
