That's his defence? Better get a new lawyer.

Actually I'd be just as happy if we bought him a one way ticket back to Astan. Locking him up won't reform him, and keeping out of Canada will keep us just as safe as keeping him in jail here, and for a lot less money.

    more bullshit:

The defence went over some of the prosecution's wiretap evidence Thursday, asking Shafia to clarify what he meant at certain points.
In one recording, Shafia said, "Would a daughter be such a whore," and called for "the devil" to defecate "on their graves."
When asked by his lawyer what he meant, Shafia told the court he meant that the devil and God would be the ones to judge whether his daughters were bad or good.

Shafia, during his first day testifying, described how he fled his native Afghanistan to protect his family.
"We were a liberal family," he said. "And the women were in constant danger from the Taliban."
At one point, Shafia broke down in tears when asked about the marriage of his daughter Zainab, one of the victims.

Just move along please, there's nothing to see here. Nope, nothing wrong at all with any of our immigration policies that let these kinds of evil stone age fuckers into our country. Just keep whistling "Dixie" past the graveyard of our common sense, folks. :x

He'd probably get a pat on the back if we shipped him back to Afghanistan.

I left Astan as a refugee - I think he might find himself dead if he went there. But I don't care if they make him prime minister, just get him away from us.

Without knowing the exact reason for his immigration, its hard to say what would await him if he returned. I just know that infanticide is not looked down upon in many areas of Afghanistan.

Regardless he is a Canadian citizen who committed a crime in Canada, he should get 25 years for each child. The wife and son should also see hard time for this.

He went to Dubai as a refugee, made millions there and came to Canada as a business class immigrant. If he's a citizen we've gotta keep him, then as you say throw away the key. But he came in 2007, so that's cutting it pretty close whether he has his citizenship or not.

I don't think the wife and son should get any lesser sentence. I mean either they participated in a 1st degree murder and subsequent cover up or they didn't. Calling what they did 2nd degree or manslaughter is just bullshit.

I'm thinking he is far more deserving of a single bullet to the back of his head. but this being Canada the best I can hope for is life in prison. :?

There's somethings I don't understand. His ex-wife is was 52. His wife is 41. His son with his wife is 20. His daughters were 19, 17 and 13.
So these children are not his ex-wife's, but his wife's.

    WHAT???

All 3 of them deserve to rot in hell as far as I am concerned.
