I dont know why someone would want to force another person to live in crippling pain with no hope of recovery. If you want to end your life go right ahead.

Because the people not living in pain think it is wrong.

We treat our pets better than we treat our (human) loved ones...

I hope by the time my health starts to fail me, I will have a choice available to me where I can die with dignity.

Ditto. Not that I want to "Old Yeller" grandma for her Claude Akins porn collection, but we do show our loved pets mercy; why can't someone do that for me?

After seeing what both of my parents and now three of their siblings had to endure from cancer, I refuse to go out that way.

Because euthanasia involves someone else ending your life. This isn't a discussion about making suicide legal or not.

yeah, to have the possibility to die with dignity, and even to have a clean
place to do it, and people to help you.

    We should have this.

Funny how andy loves his legal shooting galleries, but not this. :|

Funny how Martin thinks he knows what I love.

We should have what Switzerland has, but funded by Medicare. We should also be tougher on supplying care to extreme preemies and the terminally ill. Ie euthanasia even when the person isn't in a position to give consent, if there is no hope for reasonable quality of life.

It also involves others continuing to support life which which would not naturally be possible ........and is different.

People should have this stipulated in their wills if it is ever made fully legal. If you are in a position that has you incapacitated, such as a stroke or severe damage to the brain and or CNS for example, you should make it clear that you wish to be euthanized. it's not that much removed from a DNR request.

in many of those cases, it's not life support, it's keeping meat fresh.
