Nearly half of China's wealthiest citizens are considering emigrating, with the United States and Canada the most popular destinations, according to a new report from the authors of China's rich list.

    But the rigid education system, rising living costs and widespread corruption have led many to look for homes abroad.
    ROTFL ROTFL ROTFL First they make their money thru corruption, then they want to look for homes abroad. Meanwhile, supposedly, our rich are all ready to leave because of the ungodly taxes we expect them to pay. Maybe we should institute a richie rich swap - you give us one of yours, we'll send you one of ours.

    It's hardly surprising - life in North America is far better, while life in the major Chinese cities is expensive, cramped and full of air pollution. A large portion of the Chinese who go abroad for school, wind up staying abroad, creating a mini-brain drain for them too.
