The man was camping by the Nitinat River near Lake Cowichan on Saturday when his companion was woken up by what he thought was a black bear trying to get into the tent.

    Darwin is for the dead, they do have a class for near misses though but I think that is more if the person had shot themselves.

    My friends in the US never believe me when I say we don't have a high murder rate up here, but we have lots of "hunting accidents".
