The Canadian Broadcast Standards Council says it should be up to individual radio stations to decide whether they want to play unedited versions of Dire Straits song "Money for Nothing."
Whenever I've heard this song on the radio, the word in question is censored or changed to something like yuppie.
The council also noted that that panel that banned the song was not aware that alternative versions of the song without the word "f****t" have been available since 1985. My own censoring

I do. Sometimes I think it should happen and soon. I can go to work and tell a joke in an Irish accent and get some laughs. Do it in a native or East Indian accent and watch out.
