A fire in a warehouse sent acrid dark smoke billowing into the air, causing at least several hundreds of thousands of dollars in losses and fouling rush hour traffic in Burnaby, B.C. Monday afternoon.
I was just across the street when that sucker was touched off, within seconds the flames were at least 100" in the air. It was lucky there wasn't a major explosion when the gas main went, the fire was just off the intersection of Marine Way and Byrne road which is usualy crammed with traffic at that time of day.
