The Canadian Forces plans to order thousands of new uniforms after determining the current design is based on a gentleman's combat uniform and doesn't fit well with equipment.

    Americans may complain about their ACUs, but the new Canadian combats are a vast improvement over the current design. I'm glad there was provisions for integrated kneepads. :D

    Ummm velcro attachments? Wouldn't those be a real bad idea on those quiet nights when noise discipline isn't "just a good idea" but pretty much a requirement?

    Not an issue. Take your patches off before you go out an about. Also, the velcro on the combats is the soft stuff that doesn't stick so much. It's the harder stuff with the teeth that catch onto everything and create a fuckton of noise.
