I think the cartoon makes a fair point. Jihadis must be laughing their heads off. And then the nutbar right trying to blame the left for this, well that's just icing on the cake. Brievik's actions have set back any rational discussion of muslim integration/immigration. He'll have managed to silence the sane voices while the ravers will continue to rave.

"If there is a venue for an image that might be despicable or insensitive, that's the editorial cartoon. You can't do that in a regular newspaper. You can't be an essayist or columnist and write stuff like that," said Casey. "A responsible journalism editorial cartoonist is supposed to be like a jester in the king's court who gets away with saying things where a regular person would have their head cut off by the king."

This guy is pretty much dead on what should be the reality, though the fact there have only been four letters and some phone calls shows it isn't getting much criticism.

Breivik's act gave the jihadis breathing room . Now the Euroweenies will be focused on their 'right wing' extremists who generally use their fists, boots, chains and lumber, rather than bombs, guns and planes. While the police and security services are all over some idiot or group of idiots screaming 'White Pride!' Imam Mustafa and Co. can slip in under the radar.

Andy and Shep are both right unfortunately.

Don't these moronic nutbars realize that all their actions become counter productive to their cause? I guess not that's why they are morons.

The mayor of Kandahar was assasinated a few days ago by a guy with a bomb in his Turban. I recall a cartoon about that too somewhere.

The cartoon would be tasteless and devoid of any parody were it not for the fact that some Muslim groups rushed to claim credit for the attack in the immediate aftermath.

Very true. The extreme right are mostly disorganized kids while islamists run countries and have global connections. It's like being afraid of a fly while a raptor sits behind you.
