We need a new Charlemagne, or at least Charles Martel.

I actually don't like this law. I think people should be free to wear whatever they like. My only caviat to that is you must be prepared to reveal your face for government ID, or when dealing with persons of authority (like the police) etc to varify ID.

Other than that, I don't really see the benefit to banning them. I am no fam of then, but I believe in individual freedom to do and dress the way you want.

Yeah, I'm with you. I don't think it's up to the gummint to tell people what to wear, except insofar as necessary for ID purposes. I'm fed up with the shambling shrouds myself, but I don't think autocratic measures will help.

I would get rid of freedom of religion. Then these people couldn't use that as a lever to try to force society to adapt to their primitive ways.

I can understand freedom of religion, I do object though when it comes to it comes to personal identification. The KKK might actually endorse this they would love a reason to put a hood back on, they could even come up with a good religious reason for it too.

Yeah and he would be quite happy to expunge non-faithfull, other religions and atheists alike.
