Osama bin Laden was holed up in a two-story house 100 metres from a Pakistani military academy when four helicopters carrying U.S. anti-terror forces swooped in the early morning hours of Monday and killed him.

Doubt if he got to play much. Anyway his turban kept slipping over his eyes, so he had a lousy handcap.

But I hope this shakes up Pakistan. The Pstan talibs have already threatened retaliation against the govt, and obviously questions need to be asked about wtf Bin Laden was doing in this high profile security compound. Who built it, who owned it, who ran it, etc. I hope Obama doesn't back off and say this proves the Pstani are good allies. It proves quite the opposite for at least part of the Pstan govt. Some heads need to roll there as well. I would say literally but I'm against the death penalty.

Pakistan was complicit in hiding this guy. Chatter says some fellow in the ISI bird-dogged the US to this thing which is a good thing as it means not everyone in the ISI sides with the crazies.

Pakistan was complicit in 9/11. Apparently the ISI handled the money. They also sold nuclear technology to Libya, North Korea and Iran. Great bunch of guys.

The ISI is long overdue for a "purge".

There has to be somebody in the military with the "balls" and know how to do it.

Wouldn't expect anything of the civilian government.

The military is split. The guys in ISI (not all of them) who are pro Taliban aren't some little rogue element but constitute a large, powerful part of the military. You'd have a true battle if they tried to take them down. Might offer up a few goats tho.

The fact that the US didnt inform the Pakistani gov't about THIS raid speaks volumes.
