Sounds like someone is just trying to get rich.

I'd say the guy's a nutcase but I'm afraid I'll be sued as well. If he was just trying to get rich he would be suing large corporations for smaller sums in hopes of out-of-court settlements. That's the usual M.O. of scammers.

Don't worry... he's been banned from court. :D

Same thing that happened to Clifford Olsen-declared a 'vexatious litigant'.

According to the article he's been banned from federal court, which means provincial and small claims courts are still available for him to practice his unique form of crazy.

The freaking Taiwanese are sue happy as all hell. At the school our kids attended, a couple Grade 2 kids got into a pushing match. One kid was pushed down and 'bumped' his head. that afternoon the parents were screaming at each other in the parking lot how they were going to sue each other.

Another guy I work with was taken to court because he told his neighbour he had a small dick. This caused his neighbour to lose face. The courts actually listen to this shit here. Then again, this is the land where children, yet unborn, can be saddled with the debt of their grandparents.

This isn't government debt or deficit. If a man borrowed some money to start a business and it went tits up, and then he dies, his children and grandchildren(even those still in their mothers womb)can be made to pay the money owing. The laws have only recently changed, where you have to go to court and declare you aren't looking to inherit anything. You also have to do the same for any potential heirs(your children yet unborn). However, that law was not made retroactive. If you were born 1 day before it passed...you're stuck with Grandma and Grandpa's bills.
