Good job the Libs have no chance of getting in at the moment. They seem to have another 'Decade of Darkness' ready and waiting for the CF.

The conservatives twilight doesn't seem much better. We know the Libs will screw over the military and treat it with contempt...it's their nature. However, the conservatives make a big show about supporting the troops and giving them the best. Then, you see how they've treated the vets who were disabled in the line of service. To me that's really dirty. talk about being caught between a rock and a hard place.

Yep, the DND is still full of career bureaucrats more interested in their fat pensions and promotion to deputy minister than looking after our injured guys and their families. The Tories have dropped the ball on the welfare of the troops. At least they have been shamed into sorting it out.

At this point the CF should lobby to buy F-22s. They'll cost the same as a finished F-35.

I loved the Auditor General's (Sheila Fraser) line on the F-35. She said "she hoped no one was thinking this was a low risk project". That's pretty clear thinking. The F-35 must be a immensely complex. The military personnel will all tow the line that everything is fine down here, on time and on budget.
