Snowsteria seemed to take hold in Toronto on Wednesday amid an Environment Canada prediction of a winter walloping that sent people in and around Canada's largest city scurrying like groundhogs for their burrows.
Wow, what a snowstorm that was. I think the snow actually reached the top of my foot. Thank God the Toronto news media kept warning me how bad the storm will be, I might have ended up with wet socks
And that's what you types outside of the GTA should remember. It's not the general population here being hysterical, it's our media over blowing everything as usual.
Half-truths and hype is what we can expect from the press and TV. Half a truth is half a lie and they lied to us again.
Western Canada mind as well be tundra for 7 months on the year but it's national news when Toronto gets windbreaker weather.
Here's the thing Mr.C. Minus 16 up north or out west is "windbreaker weather". But we have this thing in Southern Ontario, even in winter, called humidity. The gear I had in Winnipeg that kept me relatively warm at 40-50 below did bugger all to keep me warm at 15-20 below in S.O. As for the rest though, yer right, it was laughable to call this a storm

"I pushed the snow off the windshield....and I just got in the car. After that I uh........I blacked out..."
...you expect a lot but are always disappointed.
Just noticed that Edmonton is in a heated battle with New Jersey for last place this year. GO EDMONTON!!!

I've been laughing my ass off.
