Israel's Foreign Ministry on Tuesday condemned as "highly regrettable" Argentina's announcement of the previous day that it recognized Palestine as "a free and independent state" within its borders prior to the 1967 Six-Day War.

The Palestinians say more than 100 countries have recognized a Palestinian state over the past two decades, most of them Muslim and former Soviet bloc countries. The United States and European Union ? the major foreign powers involved in peacemaking ? have not.

They should be lobbying the U.N. for recognition, and get louder with every settlement announcement.

Top rabbis move to forbid renting homes to Arabs, say 'Israel belongs to Jews'
"We don't need to help Arabs set down roots in Israel," Rabbi Shlomo Aviner of the Beit El settlement, said on Tuesday. Aviner explained that he supported the move for two reasons: one, a Jew looking for an apartment should get preference over a gentile; and two, to keep the growing Arab population from settling too deeply.

Oh well.. So much for peace.

This is why I love how Israel plays the victim card all the time, they are just as racist and unwilling to compromise.

The UN can't be relied on for anything. Wasn't it the Middle Eastern countries that blocked Canada from getting a seat because of our pro Israel stance?

Well if thats the case ( which it isn't ) then the UN is a very credible organisation( which it also isn't ). Blind support for Israel should should not go unquestioned.

*cue the Hamas rockets, Anti Semite, Push the jews into the sea etc etc rethoric

If it makes you feel any better, I sympathize with you. However, I find that both sides (Israel and Palestine/Hamas) act like pricks most of the time and I find it hard to readily support either side because of all their dickery.

And yes your correct both sides do act like pricks, But compared to the Pals the Israelis are much bigger pricks anyday.

What are the goals of a Israeli/Palestinian Peace Plan?

    ... first of all

    Borders
    Immigration
    Resources

Does anybody really think a peace plan could go through that would deny self determination to one people or the other?

Maybe all countries that think this is a requirement of ANY plan should recognize a Palestinian state. It would kinda put the ball on Israel's side of the court.

There are no countries that can change their conflict, they must do it by theirself, the change begins from their own minds, doctor can't cure the illness if the person doesn't want to. And Thanks to god it is not so influential countries.

Argentina made itself a sanctuary for Nazi war criminals. 'Nuff said.

    Fixed for accuracy.

I would equate the Palestinians to be unfettered pricks, whilst the Israelis are more like a dildo, switched on when the Palestinian prick is pointing at the porcelain.
