SACKVILLE, N.B. A New Brunswick logger is unrepentant after beginning to dismantle a woodpile that turned out to be a sculpture titled "Deadwood Sleep."
"That truck that caught fire and has now rusted on my front lawn? Oh, that is art not trash. It is an expression of the rise and fall of western society"
So that $5 000 could have gone to a local library, rec centre, afterschool program' homeless shelter, soup kitchen or some worthwhile charity? Instead some dumbass declares himself an artist after piling some logs and gets it....fuck!
What a joke. This pile of crap should be in the national gallery right next to that other piece of crap "Voice of Fire" that we, the taxpayers, had the good fortune of funding for the elites.
Maybe the logger should have left the pile of wood and dismantled the arteeest.
Thats not art, I wouldn't even call it a sculpture. I know real artisans who put thousands of man hours into a single piece of wood to make true sculptures. One sits on my moms front porch and it is a damned impressive piece of art. This looks like something I'd stack in 6 hours cutting down trees for firewood.
Too bad the "artist" is myopic.
That means I got an art exhibition, back of my property.
Maybe the logger should have left the pile of wood and dismantled the arteeest.
If I can cut down trees does that make me an artist?
If you paint a picture of a forest does that make you a lumberjack?
