I'd like to see how many Canadians would just "out of the blue" pass it. I know that in the Dutch Citizenship test there were questions that didn't make much sense to citizens, but were apparently mentioned in some kind of booklet...
I don't think the average Canadian would do that well. I remember when my mom took the test about 10 years ago, I looked at some of the sample tests she got and found them to be kinda tough, and I think I have more interest and knowledge in that kind of stuff than your average canadian.
Personally I wouldn't mind a all if there was some equivilant to the citizenship test that kids had to pass before they got their high school diplomas. Or maybe before being allowed to vote.
Oh gee go figure. Can't speak or read one of the official languages .. too bad. Maybe we should just use signs like on washroom doors that way nobody will have to feel discriminated against
To pass the test you have to prepare for it and to do that you have to understand the language and be able to read. Most immigrants can't and don't want to learn it. Only the ones in the family who have to work really learn it.
I got 18 out of 25 on 'part 1' and I live in the US and am not trying to pass the citizenship test but I wanted to see how hard it is. I don't think it's very hard but I only did the first one.
I took a sample test and aced it, but the sentence structure was appalling. I offered an new question regarding recognizing our flag. But thought I should use a pictorial.

I actually concur with you on something. I think I suffered a head injury or something
But seriously, the ones that WANT to be here, be Canadian, and contribute will hopefully be the ones to pass. I'm okay with this.

Anyone got a link to questions? I'd be interested in seeing specifics.

The test I took was a joke. And loads of people were cheating.
You had to take a test? Real Brits and frenchman should just be allowed in no questions asked

Thanks btw for posting them.
