Omar Khadr is an angry and "highly dangerous" terrorist who shows no remorse for the killing of a U.S. soldier and other crimes, a psychiatrist speaking on behalf of prosecutors told a Guantanamo Bay court Tuesday.

Khadr, who pleaded guilty to five war-crimes charges on Monday, still has strong ties to his "al Qaeda family" and has made no effort to distance himself from extremist views, Dr. Michael Welner told Khadr's sentencing hearing.

"He's highly dangerous," Welner said. "It is his belief that he should not have been here for a day ... and that it is everybody else's fault that he is."

Welner told jurors that Khadr "marinated in radical jihadism" during the eight years he spent in custody in Guantanamo Bay, and was considered a spiritual leader by his fellow inmates.

The little cocksucker has just been biding his time. Gotta wonder if one of the two sympathizing parties in Canada will have him run as a candidate in the future.

Shocker... not really. Don't we have a long history of giving terrorists and murderers a free pass? When this dude gets out, hes just going to be a more determined terrorist. I mean for crying out loud people, get some common sense.

Somebody who wanted to be a terrorist, willing to risk his life in the process of killing Americans or as he put it. "Any American, civilian or military" BEFORE he want to gitmo and after all that torture, etc. They expect him to come out from this and simply play nice?

He'll be walking the streets of Toronto by next Christmas and he has Christmas present for us he's suing us for 10 million dollars.

"Omar Khadr said he "felt happy" when he heard that a grenade he threw had killed a U.S. Army medic, according to a fact summary read in court Tuesday."

If we pay a cent to this turd it's only because he got shot and captured when he succesfully killed our allies in a theatre of war over seas. If we pay this Canadian one red cent. This country is officially a big joke to me. I have nothing really holding me down here and will start seriously considering immigrating to the US.

I agree, only hoping the guilty verdict will stop any real nonsense.

It would have been better for all, including Khadr, if they'd just killed him on the battlefield. Oh yeah, I forgot about Capt. Semrau's case. We're supposed to be compassionate to the people shooting at our young men and women.

The CBC are all over this. Their reporters were dwelling on the fact that it's not a fair trial, child soldier, poor thing just needs a teddy bear, etc. The Toronto Star is very nice towards him too.

I'm still wondering why you can't get that picture of Chretien shaking Khadr snr's hand in a Pakistani prison hospital on google anymore.......

Probably the same psychiatrist that said that Russell Williams was a stand-up guy. ha ha ha. You guys are hilarious--"when he gets out and kills someone else." Typical americans--all for invading a country and when one of guys get fragged they go crying "No fair." Under teh heading of "Not really understanding the concept of war."

Khadr is just a journalist thing to bash Harper and Americans. I wonder what would be the result of a "Do you care about Omar Khadr ?" poll.
