Israeli settlers have begun building new homes more than four times faster than in the last two years. And many homes are going up in areas that under practically any peace scenario would become part of a Palestinian state, a trend that could doom U.S.-br

?This figure is alarming and is another indicator that Israel is not serious about the peace process, which is supposed to be about ending the occupation,? said Ghassan Khatib, spokesman for Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas' self-rule government in the West Bank.

Israel has never wanted peace. This is the provocation phase again.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has played down the new construction, saying it has no real effect on the map of a possible (peace) agreement.

Oh its no big deal, we want peace as long as we get to steal as much land as we want.

    This makes me laugh...
The Palestinians insist on a freeze for the duration of negotiations, saying two months is unrealistic to reach a border deal.

2 centuries is probably unrealistic, 2 months is waiting for a miracle.

Seriously, can someone tell me why anybody would want to go live in these new developments? Kinda like building a house on the slopes of Mount St. Helens.

Yeah, the entire dove movement headed by Yitzhak Rabin and his resultant assassination, along with the Oslo Accords, was just a figment of some autistic kid's imagination.... I hear Sanford's idiot died. The commute on your bicycle to the new job shouldn't be too hard.

Not everyones the same, who knows maybe he really did want peace, and thats why he paid the ultimate price for it.

The Zionists setllers believe that they are gods choosen people and it is their holy duty. Many Christians also support this as this is the one of the prophecies leading to the end of days inturn leading to armageddon and rapture.

I came across this in the Israeli press regarding this story . Gives you a little insight to what I was saying.

Jews are building the land of Israel.Jews have every right in the world to choose to reside in Judea and Samaria. Arabs live in Haifa , Tel aviv, the Galil and the Negev . Jews resided in Hebron for thousands of years. It's about time people around the world come to terms with the fact that Israel can never go back to the 67 borders coined by Abba Eban "The Aushwitz borders". There are several hundred thousand Jews living in the West Bank and Israel 's most precious landmarks are there as well (The Kotel, The Temple Mount, The tomb of the Patriarchs)

Been there several times(including Arab occupied Judea and Samaria) and have friends and family(in laws) there. Don't need an unsourced quote to know what the reality really is.

Not really, the only that unites them is the constant meddling and having their land stolen.

So do you agree that the Israelis have full right to annex more land and build more setllements ?
