A Nova Scotia soldier convicted of killing a comrade in Afghanistan will get a new trial.

    It says at the end of the 2nd paragraph "He was found not guilty of manslaughter during the nine-week 2009 trial." What?

    Cpl. Matthew Wilcox has won his appeal of his criminal negligence causing death and negligent performance convictions


    He wasn't convicted of manslaughter, but was convicted of the above. That's what he's appealing (that's how I understood it, anyway....)

    The Canadian Forces have one military prison, the Canadian Forces Service Prison and Detention Barracks (CFSPDB), located at Canadian Forces Base Edmonton.
