City seeks creative way to turn iconic photo into public art

With the New Westminster city budget just around the corner, it will be up to council to determine what kind a project to create a public art piece to honour the iconic "Wait For Me Daddy" photo taken 70 years ago Friday (Oct. 1).

I'm itching to see if they'll offer it for sale through the newspaper next week. That would be a print well worth having.

That picture is right near the entrance of the War Museum in Ottawa. It was blown up to about life size. I just stood for a bit looking at it and wondering what happened to the people in it.
