Scientists in Finland have come up with a way to transmit sound waves through the vacuum of space, a feat previously restricted to science fiction movies.

    Why not just speak into a microphone and transmit the sound that way, like they've been doing it since we've started going into space? :?

    I mean down here.

    A new way to bridge the electric to sound and sound to electric transfers. I'm sure it has more improved old applications and new applications then not having to dial your transmitter to yell at the new guy on a space walk.
