Oh for the love of freakin' Pete, would you activist freaks get real already?
"Let's make the pictures BIGGER! That'll do it!" Seriously? Do you really think just because someone smokes they're honestly that daft? Back to the bubble wrap room, dorks.

Next - if we're gonna put these big, fat ugly pictures on cigarettes to combat tobacco (more realistically, the chemicals added to it) related diseases, let's go all the way. I want to see all snack foods (chips, crackers, cheezies, etc.), processed meats and cheese, those gawd awful Lunchables, etc., complete with warning labels as well. May cause obesity, heart attack, diabetes, increased cholesterol levels, increased blood pressure, yadda, yadda, yadda.

If we're gonna protect the general public from their own poor choices, let's do it right, dammit.

Don't let the dumb fucks sue tobacco or fast food companies though. The warnings about what the stuff will do to you has been out there too long. You may as well sue your parents for teaching you unhealthy eating practises, if you have been a junk food junkie all your life.

I'm not sure if that is true. Smoking is just one of those things that even former smokers think is @$^&, *%^$&*@ing, and effen #$%&@* to do. You'll have to quit for a few years before you figure out what those words are.

Do these work? Is there anyone left in the world that doesn't realize how dangerous smoking is?

Started smoking at 13. 31 now, and smoke free for a month as of yesterday.

But even 18 years ago i knew smoking was bad for me. That's the problem with these warnings. People who are young and dumb enough to start smoking don't really care about the warnings. They think they're invincible and that they can quit anytime.

Also, can you tell me what those words were? Even though it's only been a month I'm already getting sanctimonious with the wife... :D

I hate the TRUTH in advertising comercials they sit there and say smoking is the number one killer. IF you just stop and think about it for one sec. LIFE is the number one killer everything that has ever lived is now dead, every thing living now is dieing, and everything that will live will eventualy die.

LIFE THE TRUE NUMBER ONE KILLER OF ALL THINGS.

I find it all hard to take seriously with a government(s) who rakes in huge tax monies on the backs of Canadian addicts and a group of doctors who make you a second class citizen undeserving of the medical attention that non-smokers are prevy to.
On top of that a government(s) who continue to support industries polluting our enviroment as long as there's jobs and profit to be had.
Ever wonder how many people who hate smokers actually think about the harm they are causing society by getting behind the wheel, or flying or boating or mowing their beloved lawns and etc. I'm guessing less than 2 percent.
    Bah! and Humbug! :)
