Ok, they can turn the Hagia Sophia back over to the Orthodox Christians in Istanbul to use(I remember that there were threats made if the Pope tried to pray there during his visit), and allow the Jews back onto the Temple Mount to build a synagogue in one corner. The same can be said about hundreds of Christian and Jewish holy sites, in Africa, Asia Minor and south eastern Europe that were converted into mosques(although the Muslims claim that the Jewish prophets/patriarchs and Jesus were Muslims too) or the numerous Hindu, Farsi(easier to write that Zor-toaster name) and Buddhist temples razed and built over as Islam swept across eastern Asia,

I think the Bishop said it best at 1:20 of the video. The day they get one corner of the cathedral is the day they start demanding all of it.

the spokesman for this push is also listed as a Spanish convert to Islam, and, if they are anything like the born-again Christians I know in the States and Europe, they are much more likely to be up on their pedestals about everything and everything regarding their beliefs... regardless of logic and or past beliefs

    fun times... fun times...

On a tolenrant note it would great and an excellent example if that did happen. But on a realistic note some people need to let go of the past. I doubt that if any Christian asked to be allowed in a mosque which was perviously a Curch I think the response would be less than welcoming.

Waiting for bart's input, I can always use a good laugh

In April, more than one hundred Muslim visitors staged a protest by unrolling their prayer rugs inside the site and beginning to pray. When security tried to remove them, the protest got violent and two were arrested.

wonder when the bomb threats will start rolling in ..

    Islam, religon of peace.

At least this Bishop has the balls to stand up and say fuck off,
better than the Archtwit of Cunterbury at least.

You speak of tolerance DD.. hows about you boys going first for a change ?

I hear the Temple Mount has some room in the back....

There is no "you boys" I am an individual with independent thought and will. I can understand that me being the only muslim here on CKA ( I wonder why that is, eh ? )you think I'm some kind of repesentative of over a billion people. I represent me, myself and I only.

Before we start talking tolerance how we start talking some sense for a change first. And if you failed to read my post. I said its time to get over the past that includes the Muslims ,Christians and the Jews. And the Bishop was right in his response as I don't see any Imam responding any different.

Perhaps you should also look into taking some English comprehension lessons aswell while your at it.

This would be great if it actually happened.

If the protesters use violence, then they're not promoting peace and harmony between religions are they? They may have some kind of other agenda.

There have been others over the years.

    Alice Habibi
    Saladin Ayyubid

    And several others.

So far, we're batting .1000 on the muslims coming on this site and acting all peaceful and moderate at first and, as usual, having the grace of the liberals to protect them and explain away their language.

But eventually they all get banned when they revert to form and start making blood curdling threats to people on the forums, making intimidating personal attacks (something you're starting to do as of late and your comment about me in this thread is a good example), or sending personal and terroristic (meaning illegal) threats in pm.

When you initially came on this forum I was pretty hopeful we finally had found a proverbial unicorn in the form of the actual moderate muslim.

But you're showing your true colours lately and I've noticed the usual liberals who defend muslims are silent in your defense these days.

That said, I figure it's just a matter of time before the moderators ban you and for just cause.

The Cordoba mosque was the symbolic center of the Caliphate of Andalusia. Retaking it for islam would be a symbolic retaking of Spain for islam.

That they would use violence to have their way is to be expected.

Anyone care to start a pool on when the bombings will start? :?:

Well Bart, I'll come to his defense. I haven't read anything DD has written that could even vaguely be seen as threatening. Unless he's sent you pms that are - in which case you should let the mods know. Or eve if it was written on forum but the mods missed it.

IMO people overuse pms on this forum anyway - most things can just as easily be said on the forum.

I dunno, he's no more dramatic than some and less than most. Salad ding was a nutball, but the mods dealt with him. No problems here.

There've been a few others Muslims on this forum that have come and gone over the years. There's been some nasty comments about "muzzies" on here, but then again there's been some nasty comments about Christians too.
