Delaware Republican Senate nominee Christine O'Donnell on Sunday chalked up her experimentation in sorcery to being a teenager, saying there's no magical explanation to her 1999 confession that she "dabbled into witchcraft."
How the hell does this even matter? This has no relevance to the campaign whatsoever. Maher brought it up to try to discredit O'Donnell in the eyes of her social conservative supporters, but it is about the thinnest and weakest attack I've seen yet. And then people rally on both sides of this trivial BS, wasting everyone's time with stuff that doesn't matter.
And while I'm on the subject of Delaware, this tripe about O'Donnell's opponent being an admitted Marxist is based on some crap he wrote in college. Maybe someone could ask him to clarify that a bit, but I think it is high time they actually starting trying to talk about issues in that race.
I feel fairly confident she would vote more in line with my personal views than her opponent, but some of these financial and character questions would need to be resolved before I would feel comfortable in supporting her for Senate. To be clear, I do support her now, I just am not as happy as I am with say, Joe Miller of Alaska or Jim DeMint of SC.

When one has skeletons in their closet, and one will because they are human and they make mistakes, a real leader admits them and doesn't hide them and appear a hopeless hypocrite. O'Donnel is a hardline Christian conservative - who is now caught out that she also hung around with witches when she was younger. Don't like the dirt being hauled out? Then instead of excuse making, wonder why she didn't have the parts to admit she did some foolish stuff when she was young - stuff that flies in the face of her current message.
She commented on Bill Maher's Politically Incorrect in 1999 that she had dabbled in witchcraft when she was younger as part of her explanation for why she rejected it. She also mentioned that she had had a date with some witch on top of a Satanic altar, although she hadn't known those facts at the time. It really seems like her accusers are jumping on the weakest possible angle of attack against her character. It boggles my mind.
Is this news? Seriously? Aren't there more important issues to deal with than someones highschool-past?
It would be if it wasn't some ultra rightwing Christian that even the GOP looks at askance...

What did she do, play with tarot cards or a ouija board once or twice?
Made out on a blood spattered Satanic alter with some dude.

Oh wait, that was when she still had sex, right?
