Tensions remain over a U.S. pastor's threat to burn copies of the Qur'an, even though he has cancelled those plans.

Christ taught "Peace". How many Christians follow his path?

Using religion to push that agenda, the end game is still this; if people took religion less seriously we would be a much more peaceful society.

I agree, what many people push as religion is the polar opposite of what it's original intentions were. It's supposed to be about peace and love, and compassion. Not about killing someone who doesn't believe what you do. However I don't judge religion based on what a few groups do in its name.

Which is why I dont think it should be taken so seriously, "what religion am I?" should be in the same box as "what is favorite colour ?"

No one has claimed responsibility for Sunday's attacks. But suspicion immediately fell on Islamic hardliners who have repeatedly warned members of the Batak Christian Protestant Church against worshipping on a field housing their now-shuttered church.

Freedom of religion Muslim style. You're free to worship as long as it's Allah.

I say we gather representatives of the Christians, Jews, Muslims and atheists and burn copies of the Bible, the Torah, the Quran and the Origin of Life. Then we'll all be even and everyone can smarten the fuck up and grow the fuck up.

He meant On the Origin of Species. Doubt if there are atheists who treat it as a holy book.
