California explosion, fire kill at least 4

Officials confirmed Friday that at least four people are confirmed dead in an explosion and fire that tore through a neighbourhood near San Francisco.

    How horrible. Unfortunately the death toll will climb as they eventually account for all the people that lived in that neighborhood.

    Here is an update from late this afternoon:



    What I found disturbing is:

    He confirmed that the explosion was caused by a natural gas line break, but said an investigation is underway into how the line ruptured. "We don't know what caused it or what happened, but we will know soon."

    There have been reports that the smell of gas had been noticed by residents weeks before the blast occurred.


    This is looking very bad...
