Is Johnson the architect of his own demise or is it the architect and the PGA of America that did him in

Unfortunately he's to blame for his own demise since the PGA has posted signs warning the Golfers that any sand on the course was to be considered a trap.

But just because you're the governing body of golf doesn't give you the right to throw common sense out the window just so you can claim you're preserving the game.

What a bunch of uptight asswipes that run golf. I'm pretty sure if it had been someone named Woods there wouldn't have been anything said.

Ehhh, it's the golfer's duty to be aware of the local rules. Johnson admitted as much that he hadn't paid too much attention to the hand-out sheets given out at the start of the tourney. It's embarassing but I doubt that he'll ever repeat the mistake again. Kid's got a good career ahead of him and this should spur him on to try harder. He might want to consider a caddy change though, considering that the helper monkey should have been looking out for him more carefully in instances like this.
