Hulking invasive fish with voracious appetites are striking at the threshold of the Great Lakes as U.S. and Canadian officials scramble to keep them out.
"ShepherdsDog" said You're just upset that they're Asian fish.
No They do a lot of damage to the fish that are there, in fact they pretty much wipe them out and the Asian Carp is pretty much of a garbage fish very little meat.
Our great lakes, Canada/USA are beautiful and a pleasure to enjoy. The sports fishing and commercial fishing bring in million, we would reckon, each year to people of both countries. Add to that pleasure cruising and touring on the lakes. On these cruises people from all over the world rub elbows.
Many outdoor sports writers and D.N.R.'s (US and Canada) during the fifties and sixties worked hard and spent tons of money to clean up the lakes and get fishing to the levels they enjoy today. No discussion here. These invaders have to be stopped.
"GreenTiger" said There has got to be a variant of a poison that would kill these fish and not kill anything else. They are mean fish and not worth anything.

Dream on.
