The Turkish foreign minister has warned Israel that ties with its decades-long ally could be in jeopardy unless the country apologizes for the May flotilla raid that cost the lives of eight Turkish citizens.

How about Turkey admit to the Armenian genocide, shelling Kurdish villages in Turkey and Iraq first?

There's also the fact that secular Turkey is slowly being eroded by the Islamist elements within, so it was bound to happen that Turkey and Israel would part ways. I just wonder who they'll look to to buy there weaponry from when they're dealing with the Kurds and the Arabs, because frankly, these people don't look back fondly on their past history when the Turks were running the show.

I don't blame the Turks at all for wanting an apology. The Israeli's were quite brutal in their attack on the convoy and killed eight of their people. If somebody did that to the Israeli's they would want something as well.

I'm sorry. The Turks not only have a god-awful past with the Armenians but they are also not doing nice things with the Kurds. Really, they are being a bunch of wankers at the moment. Ataturk would be turning in his grave to see the Islamists stirring the pot like this.

This present Turkish government isn't doing any political or diplomatic good in the region.

Also, why isn't anybody moaning about the Egyptian border to Gaza that remains closed?

Does the world only whine about the Jews blocking the Gaza borders? The fellow Muslim and Arab Egyptians can close their borders to Gaza but nobody says anything?

All pigs are equal and all that.

Israel should demand an apology for having to defend itself over and over and over again. Those people would still be alive if they hadn't attacked first.

If the tables were turned and an Israeli convoy was trying to illegally enter the disputed Turkish-occupied area of Cyprus would anyone expect the Turks to apologize for defending their interests? I think not.

Israel should tell Turkey to pound sand. The main reason Turkey plays nice with Israel anyway is so they look good to the EU. Let Turkey cut relations with Israel and the Turks can count on repercussions the next time their EU membership application is discussed in Brussels.

I hate to see the secular government in Turkey being run over by the Radical Islamic Nuts. The country's founder Mustafa Ataturk must be spinning in his tomb. He was very wise in mandating that the country's government remain secular.

My fear is if Israel does the Turkish government to pound sand we will be accelerating a Radical Islamic shift there.

Preventing the fundamentalists from taking over is the job of the Turkish military.

You diddn't know? Muslim on muslim crimes don't exist, it's only worth getting angry about if a non-muslim does it.
