With France surrendering in World War II and their willing and
eagerness to the current fashion of surrendering their their
culture and nation to Militant Islam I would want to follow
the French Path for much (outside of Cuisine and what was once
    French).

The Russians will spy on everybody and the FSB is Still the
Cheka at heart. If they weren't spying that would be unusual.

What I don't get is why the Russians didn't just have these people act right out in the open? It's not like anyone would care.

They think in term of their own country. I some country wanted to spy on them they would have to do all of these things to succeed. They still are not us to an open society like we have in the west.

Yeah, you notice it's the subterfuge that got them in trouble and not any espionage because, really, from what I'm seeing they didn't do much more than have public conversations with key people.

Ooooh, Vicky Palaez, a reporter who shilled for Castro, was one of the Russian spies. Her husband, also arrested, ran a quasi terror group in South America. :?

She is quite a nut and needs some serious mental help. I've never heard of Castro being called an angel.
