A 5.5-magnitude earthquake has hit Ontario, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. Tremors were reportedly felt as far away as Montreal, Boston and Cleveland.
Was just outside my place with my kids here in Gatineau when it hit. I've only even slept through one before so had no idea what it was at first. Heard the house creek as it might in a strong wind, turned to look at it and the windows were rattling, which is when i felt the slight rumble, figured it was a large truck coming down the street, but the truck never came.
Was scary to think I just watched it not knowing and if it were worse and the windows gave out they would have showered my kids from the picture window they were 6 feet under sitting in their wagon.
felt it in Barrie
I kind of like it when my Barries get jiggled.........
Guess this will be the biggest audience to ever view an NDP press conference
