I thought pot made you "mellow"?

I'm so glad I am not a lawyer. How can you, honestly, ask for 3 to 6 MONTHS???

Good penalty, 4 years it's ok, and enought to think about what she has done.

In '4 years time' some of her kids will become 'BIG' people. She's 'safe' for now!

Maybe, but despite this "mother" her kids can still love her, because she is their mother.

4 years is pretty good. I just hope it isn't reversed on appeal because it's outside the usual range. But where the fuck were children's services for 12 years?

Some fathers don't even care whether they are fathers or not.

If nobody knows, nobody can do anything. It was her 14 year old that complained and got the ball rolling.

But they can always check it.

If the abuse was severe enough, it would have left bruises and other marks. Plenty of abused kids are identified this way in school. Either the abuse was not very severe, this woman was really smart in hiding it, or mostly likely nobody gave a shit.

She should be in jail for much much longer, because you know she will be out in less than 3 and on parol. Then a few years down the road she will be pardoned and it will be like nothing ever happened, while her kids will still be feeling the pains of her abuse.

Her kids will be removed from her permanently. I don't really care how long she spends in prison, but she should have to get a tubal ligation.

The kids will feel this pain the rest of their lives, but putting her in jail won't ease that pain. Being abused, or even worse, neglected, by a parent is the ultimate betrayal. But then people will wonder why these kids can't pull themselves up by their bootstraps - these kids will likely become problem adults themselves.
