RCMP: Man rode ferry to N.L., intended to kill police

RCMP allege a Nova Scotia man boarded a Newfoundland-bound ferry with a rifle, cross-bow and machete inside his vehicle, so that he could travel to Corner Brook, N.L. and kill police officers.

I'm just curious why he was upset with Nova Scotia police? If he was as loony as he is being portrayed then why didn't he just stay home and go after NS police? Something is missing in this story.
