Good for Portugal, it would have been nice though if the US Team beat the shit out of them. How would the Dear Leader explain that one?

It would have been a fascist plot to embarass the divine kingdom of course.

I fully expect the North Korean team to ask for asylum, I can only imagine the treatment these players will get for losing.

North Korea, of course, will threaten military action against Portugal.

They probably won't have a chance to. From what I've read, they're being followed by minders everywhere they go and never allowed to go out on their own.

I also fully expect them to be sent to a reeducation camp when they return to make them forget about life in the real world.

They could say it could have been worse, we could have lost to the Americans.

Everyone assumes that the DPRK soccer team is there to play soccer. I'm more inclined to think that they're at the event to conduct theft and espionage operations.

I think this result shows that this tournament should really be about the best teams being represented, not the best teams from a region. There are way better teams than North Korea who are not there because they couldn't qualify in their region (i.e. Ireland, Sweden, Colombia, etc.). I know having teams represented from regions rather than taking the top 32 teams in the FIFA rankings helps to develop the sport (theoretically), however I don't know if a result like this really shows this is happening.

BTW Mr_canada, with the sickle and your hammer, you are taking the side of the ones who will kill/mutilate those persons.
