Lets see American and Israeli warships off the coast of Iran and the IDF has clearance to fly over Saudi Arabia to Iran. Things could get interesting.

I fully expect Israel to strike Iranian targets this year.

Probably. The trick will be keeping Harper/Canada out of it.

I just don't see Israel being willing to do the dirty work for the US, especially knowing full well that Obama will not support them if they do this.

I don't think anybody will be doing the US's dirty work these days. Even the usually steadfast Brits are not happy with the attitude of the Obama administration.

Let Israel do its own dirty work.

Obama has nothing to gain from this, he knows it. A conflict with Iran would be counterproductive; the USA has little to gain, too much to lose.

Keep Canada out please, Israel, the Palestinians and the Iranians aren't my problem or interest.

Israel tends to take certain things seriously. Amadinejad's wipe Israel off the map comment is one of them. It would be more of Israel doesn't trust us to defend them rather than who's dirty work it is.

I don't think that'll be an issue UNLESS Iran strikes against Coalition forces in Afghanistan. I don't think we have any essential air or naval assets that can be used to strike against Iran.
