How about this, you want to live in the 20th century, get a job, move off the reserve and assimilate into Canadian society. It's not hard, you will just have to pay taxes and become a little more responsible for your actions.

I agree totally but it's hard to forgive. I think that's the real problem here. We can't just force them to forgive and forget. If First Nations people don't want to forgive us they will be stuck with the pain of the past.
Ultimately I think it is on the shoulders of first nations people to make the first significant move towards recovery.
