I hope they do. That'll drive a lot of Liberals to the Conservative party.

Wasn't Iggy on the news today to say that he will NOT create a coalition with the NDP ?

A merger is different than a coalition. In a coalition there are still two distinct parties.

In a merger they will become a one big reddish-orange menace.

In an interview with The Canadian Press over the weekend, Ignatieff said he would be prepared to lead a coalition after the election, but appeared to rule out any agreement to form a new party with the NDP

    Thanks 1Peg.

But the poll was about Layton leading the coalition.

Poor Iggy. He is poorer than Dion.

So we would have the Conservatives, the New Liberals and then the Green party would become the new NDP

I already switched from NDP to conservative. I am more of a middle man which the NDP use to be or so I thought however they are just really fucking themselves up. Canada needs a middle party, one that aren't idiots. Let the NDP merge with the liberals and let somebody else form a new middle party that hopefully is less stupid than the NDP.

I'm indifferent really. I feel that a united NDP and Liberal party would be a better bet at taking down the Cons then with them separated.

I am increasingly disappointed with the NDP and their avoidance with the word 'socialism'.

    You are still young Mr.C.

    it will pass.

well if he's young at 18 you're just as young at 26.

To me At 42 you're a hell of a lot younger and much less less experienced. to put this in perspective, you very likely still literally in diapers when i did my basic training and weren't even born yet when i learned to drive.

He may not be very old and i don't buy into everything he says but he seems to have a more realistic view of the world than most 26 year olds
