The Chinese fighter jet is based on the Soviet T10K training aircraft, which China received from Ukraine. Chinese engineers found it very difficult to solve the problem of folding wings of deck-based fighter jets. Now the problem has been solved.

If it works as well as the products they send to us we have nothing to fear from this aircraft. The pilot may want to take some skydiving lessons though.

Often during US vs China threads the lead of the US Military is stated as not just Fact(which it is), but also as Fact for perpetuity. China's capacity to gain the lead increases with each year due to sheer size(population), GDP, and Manufacturing Capacity. Once the Knowledge is gained it is only the Funds and Manufacturing capacity that keeps China from taking the lead. They only lack the Knowledge.

Sort of sad. 500 yrs. ago China was the most advanced nation on the planet, now all they seem capable of is stealing technology from people they still think of as barbarians(anyone not Chinese).

Somebody is forgetting the thefts of technologies stolen/borrowed from the Chinese.

In those 500 years, we came up with quite a few of our own. The converse isn't true.

Discarding copy-right law is a bit of an innovation.

At least its nice to see its not just us getting screwed,

the Russians are getting theirs too.

Going to take a long time for that Chinese reputation to change.

    If ever.

The best ideas and innovation come from free societies. Until China is free it will just steal other peoples ideas and make sad, second-rate copies of western hi-tech goods.

Don't forget, never lick anything that is stamped 'Made in China'.

    This is myopic thinking.

It's my opinion. Refute it with some well founded evidence.
