Brute force crushes many plants. Yet the plants rise again. The Pyramids will not last a moment compared with the daisy. And before Buddha or Jesus or Mohammed spoke, the nightingale sang, and long after the words of prophets are gone into oblivion the nightingale still will sing. Because it is neither preaching nor teaching nor commanding nor urging. It is just singing. And in the beginning was not a Word, but a chirrup.

I'm absolutely fine if the holy war becomes nothing more than an internet flame war.

You got a show like southpark getting death threats for simply showing the guy, than you got these guys who consist of over a thousand people doing the same thing. In protest of the actions of Comedy Central for applying censorship due to protesting from the same people who issued death threats to the South Park creators. I'd say this will get pretty heated, however I also say good to that. This issue needs to be cleared up, not constantly backed down everytime some muslim issues a death threat.

Muslims need to know freedom of speech works both ways, as they are allowed to express anti-western or whatever speech that may offend westerners or even people of other religions is the other sides ability to do the same. However I hardly see how simply showing the guy on a cartoon is offensive but these sensative muslims need to know that we aren't going to let them trample our rights because they disagree with it.

If the Muslims simply kept their mouths shut that episode of South Park would have came and gone and forgotten, but they didn't. Rather than do that they they did what they usually do they started with the threats and the hate they they have demonstrated in the past. Normally we in the west simply bowed to political correctness and begged forgiveness, but not everybody agreed.

The Draw Mohammad day was a response to the perceived threat to the idea of free speech. If you don't like South Park don't look at, but don't attempt to censure us. You are ticked off because of image of Mohammad, whe are going to give you images and not all of them will be flattering. Enough is enough we need to stand up if we are going to retain freedom of speech.
It's not something enjoyed everywhere in the world. We have it because generations before us paid for that freedom sometimes in blood. We need to stand up and not give it away to a bunch of load mouth extremist who have no idea of what WE are talking about.

Muslims rarely edit themselves when they talk and complain and very often scream about how disgusting we are in the west. Freedom of speech applies to everyone.

I see they got CAIR commenting on this:
Perhaps the most obvious problem with CAIR is the fact that at least five of its employees and board members have been arrested, convicted, deported, or otherwise linked to terrorism-related charges and activities.
CAIR's personnel are normally tight-lipped about the organization's agenda but sometimes let their ambitions slip out. CAIR's long-serving chairman, Omar Ahmad, reportedly told a crowd of California Muslims in July 1998, "Islam isn't in America to be equal to any other faith, but to become dominant. The Koran ... should be the highest authority in America, and Islam the only accepted religion on earth."

Those who are creating these (pro Draw Mohammed) Facebook groups with intention to create more controversy are doing a disservice to this great country, said Imam Dr. Zijad Delic of the Canadian Islamic Congress.

If people really want a discourse and communication, people are supposed to challenge Muslim communities on ethical intellectual levels, not on very low tactics.

It's not about challenging Islam, dipshit - it's about supporting free speech.

See? The fuckers are even to stupid to understand the point. How is discourse and communication going to help anything when they're too fuckin dumb to understand a most basic concept?

Well they won anyway, the Everbody Draw Mohammed page was removed from facebook, a mirror has been set up but with 108,000 less subscribers than last night. People keep giving into islam, and the muslims are eating it up with a spoon.

Actually, if we really wanted to, we could exterminate nightingales pretty darn easily.

And the islamification of the west begins in earnest. So let's see, we can make fun of the gov't and its organs, police, the military, Wall Street, Christianity, Hinduism, Atheism, Buddhism, lesbians, gays, left-handed transvestite construction workers, but NOBODY anywhere, anytime is allowed to poke fun at islam and its prophet.

Nice to see FB lay on its back for its convictions. Hey, maybe next month they can host a "Kiss islam's ass" day. Bet that wouldn't get taken down.

EDIT* Oh wait, apparently EVERY day is kiss islam's ass day.

I for one will NEVER kiss Islams ass, if anyone anywhere wants a bunch of really good reasons to never pander to/support/ or even be friendly with Muslims here you go, have a read and shake your head.

In the States we tend to be going the same way. President Oboma bows to
to the King of Saudi Arabia like some grovelling servant. They way the US government office NEVER use Islam and Terrorism in the same sentence.

But a number of people on both sides are the border are starting to get really tired of lets Kiss Mohammed's (Piss be upon him) Ass attitude.
I do respect other people's religion up until the point where they shove it down your throat. Islam has long passed that point.

At least on the Internet we can still be politically incorrect, by that I mean we can stand up for western values in the face of this Islamic slime which is oozing onto the North American shores.
