Belgium's lower house of parliament has voted for a law that would ban women from wearing the full Islamic face veil in public.

    Don't hold your breath. The Belgian govt is about to collapse, have an election, so this law will die with it.

    I think decent people in the civilized world are going to stand up
    and as Bart Says create unity over certain forms of Islamic BS and
    I think if it starts to succeed in one place others will follow.

    It certainly makes it easier in the US and Canada to act against Islamic repression if the 'sophisticated' Europeans do so first.

    The way I see it if you started a line of burkas with the Harley- Davidson logo on them they would sell by the millions and then nobody would care whether you wore one or not. :roll:
