Guergis says allegations based on 'innuendo'

She sounds like an embassasment Harper is better off without her.

Well harper called the cops on her.. so he must have some heavy shit to base it on. More to this than meets the tory eye...

All of us tory's have binocular vision, so we see both sides.

However it seems she had tunnel vision.

This is something that we can agree on. The PM would not have called the police and had her removed from the party if there wasn't some legs to these allegations.

It's always that Reform/Alliance element that ends up undoing the Conservative Party. It's only a matter of time 'til these people break the public trust.

Time? The first thing Harper did, after Peter McKay removed the knife from David Orchard's back, was to appoint a campaign aid to the Senate and make him Minister of the biggest boondoggle in Government - HRDC.

They lost my trust the day they took the oath. The general public might have a short attention span, but mine is eternal.

Unless I'm wrong, I can remember the Progressive Conservative Party doing themselves in long before the amalgamation with the Reform/Alliance Party.

For starters:

Canada suffered its worst recession since the Second World War,
unemployment rose to the highest levels since the Great Depression,
the federal government faced high and persistent deficits, and
the Tories had introduced a much-hated new tax, the Goods and Services Tax;

And my all time favorite:

Extensive government corruption and accusations of corruption and government mismanagement such as the Airbus affair and evidence showing Canadian peacekeapers maltreating Somalis, which resulted in the Somalia inquiry;

Or how about:

The third major factor was the rise of "western alienation" in the four provinces of western Canada as a result of attempts by both Tories and Liberals to woo Quebec. Western Canadians turned their support to the Reform Party of Canada and later to its successor, the Canadian Alliance.

Sounds like they didn't need any help from the Reform Party, but hey don't let the facts get in the way of your bias.

I find it interesting that she said reports that the RCMP was investigating her for drugs was "completely ridiculous".

Completely ridiculous is not the same thing as saying "untrue". They can be both.

Now I'm interested to see how this unfolds.

No doubt, that was just the first of many broken promises. If he had lived up to his own promises/platform, he would have gotten my vote in the fall of 2008. Instead, it went to an indepedent in my riding.

It's also too bad Iggy hasn't been able to distingusih himself either, because next election I'll be voting for some fringe party as a protest (assuming he doesn't get his act together).
