"Ludicrous, ridiculous and idiotic" were just a few of a barrage of angry comments directed to Stephen Harper from everyday Canadians after his government opened the door to changing the lyrics of "O Canada," documents reveal.

    "Thou dost in us command."

What is wrong with this idea, I mean if Canada allows Gay marriage, then why not make the anthem gender nutural.

As long as it wasn't being changed to The Star-Spangled Banner - who cares.

Because it is as good as it gets and doesn't need to be changed..

Since when is an Anthem to take litterally? I thought it was the message?

People can really bitch about everything, can't they...

Wow, I can really see the ignorance of of a LOT of the people that sent e-mails to Harper. Too bad they are totally clueless about their own nation's history.

Kinda funny when you think about it. They don't want the lyrics changed from the "original" wording to the wording.
