Any body would expect the police to schoot if somebody is going after them with a machette. What is the problem? The police can defend themselves.

anyone has the right to defend themselves when being attacked, in particular when a weapon is involved.

I have to commend the guy's brother and his very mature attitude about the entire picture.

Ive had enough of aboriginals blaming police and saying its racism. Im aboriginal myself and Im sick and tired of it, he said.

Courchene said he hopes to use his brothers death to focus on trying to make a difference by promoting positive lifestyle choices.
This has got to end the fighting between cops and aboriginals, and the drinking, Courchene said.

I dont care if people look at him as bad, Courchene said. He was still my brother and I loved him, and if I had to carry him home drunk, I didnt care. He was someone to me and thats all that matters.

Wow. Ariculate, insightful, intelligent and compassionate. Hope he runs for office one day.

I want to let him know that I forgive him.

While the rest of what he said was fine and dandy, this comment sort of stood out like a stick in the eye. To be forgiven, you first had to have done something wrong. The officer(s) did everything right, so this sounds a little tongue in cheek.
