I suppose it is a matter of judgement what you put in the guide. I see nothing wrong with mentioning that Canada permits SSM but I don't see it as a fundamental characteristic of Canadian culture - and we can't even claim that we were the first country to espouse (pun intended) gay marriage.

So the gay rights thing was not all he mentioned. He's right tho, nothing of all that he mentioned is mentioned in the guide I read.

What is it with this guy?

    It wasnt me.

    I didnt do it.

I dont know anything about it.

Oh wait...... It WAS me.

It really doesn't matter to me if it's in there or not, but when you get caught doing something stupid, have the balls to admit a mistake.

I don't see why it's such an issue not to mention it? I'm sure there are a lot of things about Canada and it's history that could be in that guide, why does a special interest group and a minority have to take precedence? Sounds like the NDP is just throwing shite about again. (I hear the voice of Svend around there me thinks)

Agreed QBC it renminds me of the "Were here and were queer" signs and all that fanfare when they wanted to come out. In there or not , couldnt care less. This day in age anyone wanting to come to canada knows why they want to come, no one is coming here thinking "gays must be hated in canada cause theres no metnion of it in the guide" lol

It should be in there. But more important to include are the things we don't do in Canada: cut the clits off women, make them wear bags over their heads, or kill them when they don't do as the men want. (Well, we're still working on the latter one, but to be fair, the women do their share of killing men too.) If we'd stop mutilating our male babies now, we might almost be a half civilized country.

Well, that's refreshing, a politician taking responsibility for something! I might not care for Kenney, but this earns him a gold star on his notebook.
