Christ! I still automatically use the words I learned as a kid before "far and wide and "God" was incorporated.
An anthem is an anthem. Leave the damn thing alone.
The words Sons, native and God have to go !!!! The unity of Canada depends on it.

I have the solution. Since O Canada didn't become our national anthem till 01 July 1980 why don't we revert to the actual original National Anthem:
"God Save the Queen"
That should make everyone happy.
